The Emerging and Environmental Claims Managers Association (EECMA), which focuses on issues surrounding environmental, asbestos, and other long-term exposure litigation, hosted its annual spring meeting and conference on Captiva Island, Florida on 12-13 May 2011. On the first day of the conference, NERA Vice President Dr. Stephanie Plancich delivered a presentation examining data on environmental, pharmaceutical, and other emerging tort filing trends, and discussed the economics behind forecasting future filings.
