The EUEC held its annual energy, utility, and environment conference in Phoenix, Arizona on 31 January - 2 February 2011. NERA Senior Vice President Sandra Ringelstetter Ennis delivered a presentation entitled "New Source Review -- Settling Up a 'Compliant' Process." Ms. Ringelstetter Ennis discussed approaches that owners of existing generation units can take to set up a process for complying with the New Source Review regulations. She also discussed the importance of performing the Actual-to-Projected Actual Applicability Test as required by the regulations, and provided examples of how to set up a process to perform the necessary emission analyses and calculations integrating a company's historical operations data with its projections prepared for planning purposes.
