On 19 June 2012 in Bonn, Germany, NERA Associate Director Tomas Haug presented at a conference on water pricing in Germany. The conference, which was organized by EW Medien und Kongresse on behalf of VKU and BDEW, the German Associations of Energy and Water Companies, was the first of its kind in Germany and was attended by delegates from about 150 water companies. Mr. Haug's presentation was based on a NERA study on water pricing -- particularly on the issue of how to account for imputed capital costs -- that was conducted on behalf of VKU and BDEW and has been published as part of the water industry's guidelines on water pricing in Germany.
