Chengdu, China
11 November 2014
- 14 November 2014
Hosted By: Michelin
For the 12th Global Summit of the Michelin Challenge Bibendum (MCB), NERA Economic Consulting joined forces with various MCB partners (Michelin, International Energy Agency, International Transport Forum, Chaire Economie Climat Université Paris Dauphine, and Oliver Wyman) to evaluate the macroeconomic impact of moving towards a low-carbon transportation sector.
The resulting study, featured in the Massive Deployment chapter of MCB's Green Paper, highlights the tradeoffs faced by US, European Union, and China policy-makers over the period 2015-2030, if the transportation sector is to contribute to the goals espoused by the international community in the Cancun Agreements. NERA presented the work during the dedicated Massive Deployment Backbone Session on 13 November. More information can be found here.
For more than 50 years, NERA's experts have been at the forefront of applying economics to help clients assess and solve their business and legal issues. Our participation in the MCB reflects NERA's commitment to and expertise in helping organizations with their high-stakes policy decisions and projects.
