Industry experts convened in Austin, Texas on 24-26 February 2014 to explore potential opportunities for solving resource adequacy problems in Texas, and to address the impacts of market reforms on new generation builds, demand response, and energy storage. On the first day, NERA Vice President Jonathan Falk presented "Structuring Demand Response to Find the Right Customers," which examined how demand response could be more effectively integrated into the electricity market, and whether recent transmission and smart grid investments could be leveraged to provide solutions. On the third day, Mr. Falk moderated a panel on the contributions of demand response to resource adequacy issues.
