The international law firm of Hogan Lovells will convene a lecture series on 7-8 June to discuss key legal developments in the Middle East and North Africa (MENA). The panel discussion, “Arbitration in the MENA Region,” will provide an in-depth look at key developments in the region and the reshaping of its dispute resolution framework.

NERA Senior Vice President Dr. Faten Sabry will speak on a panel with Mohamed ElGhatit, Director of the DIFC-LCIA Arbitration Centre, and Hogan Lovells partners Lewis Cohen and Samaa Haridi. Dr. Sabry will discuss trends in international arbitration in MENA, as well as examples of economic analysis used to evaluate damages in international arbitration cases. The panel will also discuss the purpose and benefit of DIFC-LCIA arbitration for companies doing business in the United Arab Emirates, the Gulf Cooperation Council, and the wider MENA region.
