Hosted By: The Association for Environmental Health & Sciences (AEHS) Foundation
NERA Managing Director and Co-Chair of the Global Environment Practice Dr. David Harrison participated in the workshop, “Sustainable Remediation: Frameworks, Tools, and Case Studies,” at the 33rd Annual International Conference on Soils, Sediments, Water and Energy. The event was hosted by the Association for Environmental Health & Sciences (AEHS) Foundation and took place on 16-19 October 2017 in Amherst, Massachusetts. Dr. Harrison discussed economic analyses that can be developed as part of a broader “sustainability” analysis of remediation alternatives for major Superfund sites. The workshop relied on the Portland Harbor Superfund Site Sustainability Project as an example of how such sustainability analyses can be developed to support decision making in major Superfund sites.
