Almost a year after the launch of its blockchain discussion platform, eurelectric is pleased to present the results of the group’s work and deliberations at its conference, “The Promise of Blockchain and Distributed Ledger Technologies: What Role for Utilities?” Participants at the event will learn about the most advanced blockchain/distributed ledger technologies (DLT) and various use cases successfully deployed across the value chain of electricity supply.

NERA Associate Director George Anstey will present an overview of two papers written for eurelectric and co-authored with NERA Consultant Max Luke. Mr. Anstey’s presentation includes an assessment of the current viability and potential of blockchain/DLT in the electricity sector and the expected future impact of regulatory and legislative frameworks on the development of the technology.
