NERA Associate Director Jorge Sanz, in his role as President of the Expert Committee for Climate Change and Energy Transition, a committee created by the Spanish Ministry of Energy to deliver a report on possible scenarios for energy transition in Spain, participated in the VI International Symposium hosted by the Foundation for Energy and Environmental Sustainability (FUNSEAM). Mr. Sanz delivered a presentation entitled Spain and the Energy Transition: Potential Lines of Action and participated in a roundtable discussion on the evolution and provision of adequate investment signals in energy markets.

The conference addressed key issues related to the role of financial markets, technological challenges, and globalization and internationalization of the energy sector in the energy transition process.

The event was opened by Mr. Álvaro Nadal, Minister of Energy, Tourism and the Digital Agenda. Senior representatives from national and international energy companies, business associations, government agencies, and academic experts were also among the participants.
