On 24 January 2020, NERA Associate Director Dominik Huebler and NERA Research Officer Leonie Janisch will present on price trends and the outlook for renewable energy guarantees of origin at the latest meeting of the Strommarkttreffen monthly roundtable of energy researchers and public and private sector practitioners. Ms. Janisch will give a presentation on recent price trends for guarantees of origin in Europe and the US, including an outlook for potential future developments considering recent supply and demand developments. Mr. Huebler will participate in a discussion of reform options for Germany’s Renewable Energy Sources Act (Erneuerbare-Energien-Gesetz) and renewable energy support schemes more generally, based on the advent of zero-subsidy bids and the challenges that come with bringing renewables closer to the market.
