Associate Director Dominik Huebler will give a talk at the “Energieforen” (Energy Forum) Working Group event in Leipzig on the latest developments in cost of capital estimation for regulatory purposes.

Mr. Huebler will cover the impact of recent blockbuster decisions by the Federal Supreme Court on the future of cost of capital estimation in Germany as well as possible ramifications of the Eon/RWE asset swap on the network sector. He will draw on recent NERA experience from working with clients in Austria, Switzerland, France and the UK and will reference the NERA report provided to BDEW, the German business organisation for the energy and water industry, on alternative options for dealing with the unprecedented capital market conditions.

Mr. Huebler will also discuss relevant knock-on effects of recent decisions on other aspects of the regulatory system.
