Webinar
24 June 2020
Hosted By: The Institute for Energy and Regulatory Law (EnReg)
On 24 June at 10:00 am CET, NERA Associate Director Dominik Huebler will participate in a webinar organized by the Institute for Energy and Regulatory Law (EnReg) to discuss proposed reforms to the German Offshore Wind Act (WindSeeG) alongside sector lawyers and industry representatives.
Mr. Huebler will draw on the findings from a recent paper that he co-authored with NERA Research Officer Leonie Janisch and Posser Spieth Wolfers attorneys Dr. Wolf Spieth and Sebastian Lutz-Bachmann. Mr. Huebler will cover the economic implications of the proposed new auction model and alternatives used by other countries, including two-way contracts for difference (CfD). In particular, he will address the relative merits of the two models with regard to financing costs, probability of successful project development, competitive implications, and system costs.
