NERA Managing Director Dr. Jeff D. Makholm and Consultant Max Luke will participate in a virtual panel titled “Wholesale Energy Markets: Gas & Electricity Shaken by the Virus.” The COVID-19 pandemic has led to a major economic crisis, in which the gas and electricity industries are facing unprecedented challenges with a deep fall in consumption and wholesale prices. Dr. Makholm and Mr. Luke will look at the facts and the foreseeable consequences for major stakeholders, including consumers, producers, and intermediaries, as seen from the wholesale markets in the US and in the EU.
