The inaugural Monaco Streaming Film Festival (MCSFF) will bring together streaming industry leaders and key film, media, and technology innovators for a unique hybrid “festival-meets-summit” experience. The event celebrates the streaming industry’s content, platforms, makers, creators, and talent, and leverages streaming technology to power the festival.

NERA Associate Director Dr. Bruno Soria will participate in the festival as a panelist in two sessions. On 5 July 2021, he will share his thoughts on “Technology in Streaming,” joining representatives from Google, Warner Media HBO, and IBM to discuss the impact of technology changes (including widespread fiber and 5G deployments) on services and business models for streaming platforms. Dr. Soria will also join the conference’s closing panel on 6 July to examine “The Future of Content Streaming,” presenting his views on how the specific economics of streaming platforms are changing the value chain of the whole audiovisual industry and how regulation should evolve to maximize cultural diversity and consumer choice.
