The Situation

NERA was retained by a leading U.S. law firm to develop affirmative action goals for new attorney hiring.

NERA's Role

Given the firm's stringent recruiting standards, NERA identified the set of top U.S. law schools that comprised the relevant labor pool for the firm. NERA then gathered and analyzed data on the racial, ethnic, and gender composition of recent graduating classes from these schools to develop the appropriate affirmative action benchmarks.
