New York City, New York—NERA Economic Consulting is pleased to announce 10 experts have been recognized as leading practitioners in arbitration by Who’s Who Legal (WWL) Arbitration Expert Witnesses 2024.

Who’s Who Legal: Arbitration 2024 singles out arbitration lawyers and expert witnesses renowned for their expertise in resolving complex international disputes. WWL’s research, along with nominations from peers and clients, identified 10 NERA experts as leaders in their field with expertise in commercial and investor-state disputes.

Six NERA experts were included in the Expert Witness section:

  • Julie Carey, Senior Managing Director, was recognized by clients as knowing “how to attack disputes from an economic perspective” and as being “highly credible as a witness.”
  • Dr. Christian Dippon, Senior Managing Director, has the ability to “explain highly technical material in a very accessible way” and “has the intelligence to understand the entire narrative of the case.”
  • Dr. Fabrizio Hernández, Senior Managing Director, was described as an expert who has “deep understanding of regulated sections.”
  • Dr. Richard Hern, Senior Managing Director, was touted as “a first-class quantum expert” who is “great at cross-examination.”
  • Ralph Meghames, Director, was described as having “deep knowledge and understanding of valuation techniques” and “a structured work approach.”
  • Robert Patton, Managing Director, was described as an expert who “is able to break down the most complex damages calculations” with a “rigorous approach to quantum analysis.”

In addition, four NERA experts were included in WWL’s Future Leader series as market leaders of tomorrow and the top of their generation in international arbitration:

  • George Anstey, Senior Managing Director, was described as an expert who is “able to explain complicated technical issues on quantum” and “is very confident when giving evidence in hearings.”
  • Tomas Haug, Senior Managing Director, was recognized by clients as having a “particular expertise in energy disputes.”
  • Zuzana Janeckova, Director, was described as an expert who has “simplicity in her approach to digits and quantum.”
  • Marco Schönborn, Director, was recognized to “produce great expert reports” and be “very good in oral hearings presenting and defending his expert position.”
