Heiner Lindenlaub is a Senior Consultant/Principal in NERA’s Antitrust and Competition Practice and is based in White Plains, NY. Mr. Lindenlaub has nearly 10 years of experience in bringing economic analysis to a wide range of competition policy issues in Europe (including for the European Commission, Germany, the UK, and Austria) and in the United States.

Mr. Lindenlaub analyzed the competitive effects of mergers on behalf of both private firms and competition authorities in a variety of industries, including metals, telecommunications, automotive products, health insurance, pharmacy benefit management, gambling, cement, gas stations, grocery retailing, packaging, food and drinks, and cash and carry.

He advised clients under scrutiny from government investigations into information exchange, price fixing, collusion on product features and innovation, and resale price maintenance. Mr. Lindenlaub also provided client support through all phases of private litigation regarding alleged and admitted anticompetitive conduct. He quantified damages for claims related to automotive products, health and wellness products, smart card chips, consumer electronics, steel products, raw materials and trucks, among others. In addition, he has extensive litigation experience spanning abuse of dominance and monopolization cases, including allegations related to anticompetitive bundling, rebates, patent hold-up, royalty payments, and refusal to supply.

Prior to joining NERA, Mr. Lindenlaub worked at economic consultancies in Berlin and Washington DC and at the UK Competition Commission (the CMA’s predecessor).

Mr. Lindenlaub holds an MSc in economics from the University of Warwick and a BA in economics and social sciences from the University of Erfurt, specialising in econometrics.
