About

Francis Ostermeijer specializes in econometric analysis, transport economics, and urban policy, with a strong focus on impact assessment and legal disputes involving infrastructure and damage quantification. He has played a pivotal role in delivering econometric analysis in a dispute about a toll road, including assessing whether and the extent to which it lost traffic and revenue due to the opening of new expressway.

Dr. Ostermeijer has also played a central role in developing econometric approaches to assess competition damages from a major European truck cartel, including estimation of overcharges, cost pass-on, and demand elasticities in UK truck markets. His wider policy work includes econometric analysis for the Greater London Authority on housing affordability and productivity and analytical support to the Royal Academy of Engineering on the economic impacts of infection-resilient environments.
