Her work spans the healthcare and retail sectors, with a particular focus on the life sciences industry.

Dr. Stearns has provided analyses in life sciences matters involving CAR-T therapies, radioligand therapies, prodrugs, mRNA vaccines, surgical robotics, and gene-editing technologies. She has also presented research on economic issues affecting biopharmaceutical companies at leading academic conferences, including the Strategic Management Society and Academy of Management annual meetings, and at universities such as UC Berkeley and the University of Pennsylvania.
