Dr. Waidelich specializes in quantitative analysis for expert testimony, asset valuation, and complex regulatory proceedings. His experience includes regulatory benchmarking across multiple European jurisdictions, financial modelling for lost profits estimation and impairment tests, and economic advisory on revenue cap regulation, including cost of capital matters. In the context of the energy transition, Dr. Waidelich also conducts market analysis for investors and in legal proceedings, drawing on his academic research on decarbonization pathways. His work spans industries including power generation, gas markets, energy storage, and electricity, gas, and hydrogen networks.

Dr. Waidelich regularly publishes in leading academic journals, including Nature Energy and Nature Climate Change, with a focus on the interplay between financing conditions, risk, and the energy transition.
