On 15 May, Senior Managing Director George Anstey will participate in the Next Steps for Energy Storage in the UK conference hosted by the Westminster Energy, Environment & Transport Forum. The conference will explore next steps for the Department for Business and Trade’s (DBT’s) UK Battery Strategy published in November 2023.

Mr. Anstey will speak in a session titled “Priorities for Expanding the Energy Storage Sector” alongside Zenobe Energy Director Nicholas Beatty, Ofgem Head of Innovation Hub Luke Ames Blackaby, Landy Quality Management Chartered Geologist and Specialist in Land Condition Paul Nathanail, and Burges Salmon Partner Alec Whiter. The panel will address:

  • Investment priorities for energy storage;
  • International supply chain government strategy;
  • The green skills pipeline;
  • System operations governance; and
  • Contributions to net zero and decarbonization and the circular economy.
