On 18–19 April, NERA Director Dominik Huebler will participate in a discussion on the role of green hydrogen and offshore wind and the necessary regulatory framework they require at the Renewable Energy Investment & Assets (REIA) Conference 2024 hosted by The Voice of Renewables. Mr. Huebler will moderate a panel of speakers including Hamburg Commercial Bank Executive Director Marco Schweer, Stiftung Offshore-Windenergie Managing Director Karina Würtz, Nordic Electrofuel Chief Executive Officer Gunnar Holen, and Qair Head of Hydrogen Strategy and Partnership Tryggvi Thor Herbertsson.

The panel will explore the following points:

• The green hydrogen value chain and its actors;
• Current and future commercialization models and business cases;
• Regulatory hurdles and funding models including contracts for difference, premiums, and green hydrogen quotas; and
• How to make green hydrogen investable for institutional investors and which parts of the value chain will come first.
