On 1 October, Senior Consultant David Ogilvie, McCarthy Tétrault Associates Jessica Mank and Chris Puskas, McEwan Partners Partner Jason Roberts, and Crawley MacKewn Brush LLP Managing Partner Matthew Scott will participate in the panel “Civil Liability and Private Enforcement” at the TAS 16th Annual Securities Symposium. This panel will cover client-focused reforms and their effect on investor loss claims involving dealers, advisers, EMDs, and private placements; proxy contest defensive tactics (Zefiro Methane Corp.); and private applications under s. 127(1) of the Securities Act, using SLC Holdings Inc. v. Stracon Group Holding Inc. as a case study.
