On 9 November, Associate Director Dr. Claire Chunying Xie will speak at the GCR Women in Antitrust Conference session “Application and Implications of the Digital Markets Act.”

Alongside Dr. Xie, Shearman & Sterling Partner Elvira Aliende Rodriguez and Meta Director and Associate General Counsel Barbara Blank will discuss self-preferencing, fairness and contestability, and the global impact of the new Digital Markets Act.

Panelists will explore:

  • How the DMA relates to Article 102;
  • Changes that may need to be implemented to comply with the DMA; and
  • How the DMA will impact advertising technology, app stores, and ongoing enforcement in relation to the GAFA.
