On 14 October 2022, NERA Managing Director George Anstey will participate in the Westminster Energy, Environment & Transport Forum in a session titled “Priorities for UK Energy Security—Government Strategy, Development of Domestic Energy Sources, Electricity Market Reform, and Net-Zero Policy.” Mr. Anstey will be joined by Sustainable Energy Association Chief Executive Jade Lewis, Simply Blue Energy Project Development Manager Kerry Hayes, Citizens Advice Principal Economic Regulation Specialist Andy Manning, and Confederation of British Industry Senior Policy Adviser Amie Jones.

In the panel discussion, Mr. Anstey will highlight current pressures, long-term priorities, and the UK government’s energy security strategy. The panel will capitalize on this timely opportunity to assess the UK’s future energy mix and capacity to increase domestic supplies, while continuing to decarbonize electricity and power sources and protect consumers against rising energy costs.
