Koch Completes $3.6 Billion Acquisition of Wever, Iowa, Fertilizer Plant

Koch Ag & Energy Solutions, LLC, an affiliate of Koch Industries, Inc., has successfully completed the $3.6 billion acquisition of Iowa Fertilizer Company (IFCO) from OCI N.V., a Netherlands-based leader in hydrogen products. The transaction was finalized following a merger review conducted by the U.S. Federal Trade Commission. NERA team provided key support to counsel Jones Day during this process. IFCO operates a cutting-edge fertilizer plant in Wever, Iowa, capable of producing up to 3.5 million metric tons of nitrogen fertilizers and diesel exhaust fluid annually.
