Edward Lannan designs and executes unique, rigorous, and incisive analysis for regulators and market-leading companies in the energy and infrastructure industries. His work has played vital roles in litigation, arbitration, grant applications, and revamping business strategies.

Mr. Lannan has aided clients in successful arbitration decisions valued at over $100 million, determined damages in litigation cases, and advised on major market restructuring in international merger proceedings. He views clear communication as the cornerstone of his work, prioritizing connection and analysis fit when communicating with clients and clarity, simplicity, and impact when communicating with regulators and arbitrators.

Mr Lannan’s recent transportation work includes evaluating competition impact on rail prices during a multibillion-dollar rail merger, pricing the cost of rail service to power plants and ports, and determining the value of switching access to an important energy market. His recent energy work includes the quality of solar panels, market damages from severe weather events, and product analysis for pipeline assets.

Prior to joining NERA, Mr. Lannan worked in the Office of Policy and Strategic Planning at the US Department of Commerce and as a Research and Policy manager at Forbes Tate Partners.
