Director Dr. Nicola Tosini will speak at the Florence Competition Autumn School and Conference along with established academics, practitioners, officials from national competition authorities, EU institutions, and industry representatives.

On 7 October 2021, Dr. Tosini will present on “Damages Estimation in Digital Markets.” In this session he will discuss the economic methods used to quantify damages in the digital sector, the implications for market characteristics common in the sector, such as multiple groups of different types of customers (known as multi-sided markets), customer groups who pay zero monetary price for the services but may share personal data they would prefer to keep private, and the estimation of damages from privacy violations and data breaches.

On 8 October, Dr. Tosini will join representatives from the OECD, AGCM, Bird & Bird, and the University of Chieti-Pescara in a panel discussion on “Revisions of the Market Definition Notice.”
