On 7 September, NERA Managing Director Soren Sorensen will moderate a panel discussion titled “Closing the Connectivity Gap—Coordinating Spectrum Strategies to Accelerate 5G and Next-Generation Connectivity in the Arab Region” at the 9th MENA Spectrum Management Conference in Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates. NERA is a knowledge partner for the conference.
Dr. Sorensen and the panelists will discuss the present state of 5G and next-generation technology adoption throughout the Arab world, analyzing how improved alignment in aspects like spectrum licensing, pricing, and long-term planning can accelerate progress. The panel will explore how a more unified regional strategy can foster investment, stimulate innovation, and facilitate efficient and cost-effective deployment, especially in markets dealing with economic or infrastructure challenges. Ultimately, the conversation will emphasize how strengthened collaboration can help close digital divides and fulfill the region’s broader digital aspirations.
