On 29 October, NERA’s experts will participate in the fifth GCR Antitrust in Life Sciences conference in New York City, with Senior Managing Director Subbu Ramanarayanan and Managing Director David Blackburn chairing the conference. 
 
Director Kristopher Hult will take part in the panel “Optimization or Coordination? Algorithmic Pricing and AI in Life Sciences,” exploring risks of unilateral versus coordinated conduct, the role of third-party vendors, the interplay with PBMs and rebate structures, lessons from DOJ cases, and global enforcement approaches. 
Senior Consultant Dennis Campbell will join the panel “The Cost of Access: PBMs, Payoffs, and Pharma’s Competitive Edge,” discussing rebate walls and formulary placement, FTC enforcement signals, reverse payment settlements, REMS abuse, exclusive dealing, and recent case law including Jazz, Humira, Suboxone, and Revlimid.
The conference will also explore mergers and acquisitions in life sciences and healthcare, along with the current challenges facing general counsel.
