As the conference enters its seventh year, NERA and Monckton Chambers are pleased to co-host the UK Competition Litigation Conference, taking place on 4 December at the ME Hotel.

The agenda will cover recent cases and decisions, developments in cases concerning the class action and subsidy control regimes, a view from the regulator, and a look at the regulatory landscape in the context of the DMCC and the Digital Markets Unit. We will round off with an overview of hot topics for 2026 and a look at things from a slightly more global perspective.

The event will begin with a keynote address by Chair of the UK Competition Appeal Tribunal Ben Tidswell, who will reflect on recent developments in the use of expert evidence in competition cases.

NERA experts will then join four sessions on prominent topics. Senior Managing Director Grant Saggers will participate in “Key Cases of 2025,” exploring the most significant trials and judgments and their implications for businesses, regulators, and practitioners. Senior Consultant Hana Hammouda will speak in the “Improving the Subsidy Control Regime” session, addressing practical reforms and innovations to strengthen the UK’s subsidy control regime. Senior Managing Director David Matthew will chair the “Developments in Digital Markets” session, which will discuss how litigation in the UK and Europe impacts competition and innovation in digital markets in an era of rapid technological change and evolving regulation. Finally, Director Adrien Cervera-Jackson will chair the final session, “Looking into the New Year,” examining what 2026 may hold for competition, regulation, and market development in the UK.
