The Northwestern University School of Law hosted a two-day conference in Chicago on 9-10 June 2011 that examined the latest developments in competition regulation around the globe. Three experts from NERA's Global Antitrust and Competition Practice participated. On the first day, Special Consultant Professor Michael Baye participated in a panel discussion entitled "Do We Have A Deal for You -- Distribution, Pricing, and the Internet." That session was followed by "True Grit: Weighing the Risks & Developing the Strategies for Private Litigation," a panel featuring Senior Vice President Dr. Lawrence Wu, who discussed approaches to calculating damages in private litigation in the US and Europe. Finally, on the second day of the conference, Vice President Dr. Anne Gron participated on a panel entitled "Merger Update: New Guidelines -- How Useful Are They?"
