On 24 October 2025, Ofcom announced the award of mmWave spectrum at 26 GHz and 40 GHz to the three UK MNOs. NERA’s client, Virgin Media O2 (VMO2), secured one-third of the available spectrum at the lowest possible price. NERA supported VMO2 throughout the process, assisting with drafting consultation responses, reviewing valuations, developing bid strategy, and providing live support throughout the auction.
