On 6 February, Managing Director Andrew Stivers will participate in the panel “Consumer Perceptions and Expectations of Privacy” at the 2025 Antitrust Data Privacy Conference. Dr. Stivers will provide an overview of research on consumer perceptions of digital privacy and discuss the complications of assessing perceptions and how those perceptions inform the economic analysis of causality, liability, and magnitude for alleged harm.
The conference will also feature topics including privacy and cybersecurity in the context of AI and other revolutionary technologies, increased regulatory attention to these issues, and shifting consumer perspectives.
