On 27 March, Managing Director Nicola Tosini will participate in the “Online Expert Workshop: Study on the Effectiveness of EU Antitrust Remedies,” a webinar organised by the European Commission’s Directorate-General for Competition to discuss key findings from the recently completed multi-disciplinary study “Ex Post Evaluation of the Implementation and Effectiveness of EU Antitrust Remedies.”

In the preparation of the study, Dr. Tosini directed a multi-disciplinary consortium including law firm Grimaldi Alliance, monitoring trustee and Antitrust & TradeRX Managing Director Tom Hoehn, and University of Leeds Professor Peter Whelan, with support from colleagues including Senior Consultant Paul Arenas. The study examines over 100 remedy decisions from the past 20 years, including 12 case studies, to assess how effectively antitrust remedies under Article 7 and Article 9 of Regulation 1/2003 have been implemented. The webinar will cover the insights from a 20-year review of EU antitrust remedies, lessons learned from real cases, and expert perspectives on how to improve remedies practices and rules.
