On 8 May, Managing Director Ling Ling Ang will participate in The Law & Economics of Payments conference hosted by The Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania. The workshop brings together leading experts in the field of payment law and economics. Dr. Ang will discuss the findings of her paper co-authored with Managing Director Alan Grant, “Potential Economic Impacts of the Credit Card Competition Act of 2023.”
The proposed act aims to boost competition in the credit card sector by reducing network exclusivity and granting merchants more authority over transaction routing. While the primary objective is to cut costs, Dr. Ang and Dr. Grant’s paper considers how these changes might alter incentives for issuers, merchants, and consumers.
This exclusive event is by invitation only.
