On 27 January, Director Emilie Feyler participated in the “NextGen: Artificial Intelligence, Innovation, and Competition Law” discussion hosted by White & Case and Amazon in Paris. The discussion explored current developments relating to partnerships between large digital market players and generative AI developers, which are often facilitated through venture capital funding and take the form of minority equity stakes, licensing arrangements, or the “acquisition” of talent.
Dr. Feyler examined the competitive dynamics of the partnerships between large digital market players and generative AI developers and reflected on lessons drawn from past cases in traditional digital markets.
