NERA Economic Consulting is pleased to welcome Kristopher Boushie back to the firm’s Intellectual Property Practice as Director.

Mr. Boushie brings over 30 years of experience in financial and litigation consulting, with an emphasis on forensic valuation issues, and more than 25 years of experience focused on intellectual property matters. Mr. Boushie has an extensive background in the analysis and quantification of damages in the areas of intellectual property infringement, distributorship terminations, contract disputes, antitrust, and tort claims. He also provides consulting services regarding tax- and non-tax-related intellectual property valuations, intellectual asset management, royalty auditing, and other financial and cost accounting-related issues. Mr. Boushie has testified in arbitration hearings, in state court, in US District Court, and before the European Commission.

Mr. Boushie is an editor of and a main contributing author to Calculating and Proving Damages, published by Law Journal Press. He is a regular contributor to the Financial Valuation and Litigation Expert journal and is on its Panel of Experts. Mr. Boushie has also prepared and presented a number of Continuing Legal Education and Continuing Professional Education seminars on a variety of topics related to the estimation of damages and valuation issues. In addition, he has served as a forensic accounting instructor at the FBI Academy in Quantico, Virginia.

Mr. Boushie is a Certified Public Accountant, licensed in Virginia. He is Accredited in Business Valuation (AICPA) and Certified in Financial Forensics (AICPA). He is also a Certified Valuation Analyst (NACVA) and a Certified Fraud Examiner (ACFE).
